We arrived home from overseas on the 4 January. Stayed a night with Ann then headed for Fingal. We were going to spend a couple of weeks at Fingal however Lisa needed extra time to find accomodation so we stayed at the Condong Post Office/General Store as Tom and Sabine were still overseas. We picked up Tigger from a “pet” handler and enjoyed his company until Tom and Sabine came home on the 16th January.
We spent our time making picnic tables and other jobs around the store. It was during this time that we negotiated to buy a 2018 Fountaine Pajot Helia catamaran Dos Peregrinos for E500k or $820k located in Sicily through the local brokers MultiHull Solutions. We paid a deposit then spent time booking flights, surveyors, accomodation etc etc.
On the 16th Jan we (with Tigger) drove to Brisbane airport to pickup Tom and Sabine who flew back from Tallin. They in turn on the way home dropped us at Rob and Glenys’s who offered their home in Brisbane for us to stay while they were away on holidays. It was very enjoyable, with the use of their car, using their pool and walking the local paths.
At the end of the month we spent a week at Alexander Headlands resort. Did more swimming surfing and walking. Bevan very generously offered his car for us to use to get to the Sunshine coast.
